WHAT: Special caution is recommended while travelling or camping in this area due to the following:

WHERE: Rockwall trails and campgrounds, including Floe Lake, Numa Creek, Tumbling Creek, Helmet Falls, Helmet/Ochre Junction. See attached map.

WHY: A female grizzly bear with cub is frequenting the area and displaying aggressive defensive behaviour.

Be prepared to encounter a bear at any time in this area:
• Pay attention for bears and make noise when travelling in this area.

• Keep pets on leash and a close eye on children.

• Carry bear spray and know how to use it.

•Never leave any food or garbage unattended.

•Store all food, garbage, and anything with odours inside the secure storage lockers provided in the campground.

• Keep a clean campsite. All garbage must be packed out.

Report all bear sightings immediately to the Visitor Centre or Banff Dispatch at 403-762-1470.
