WHAT: Under the authority of the Haida Nation and the Government of Canada through the Archipelago Management Board (AMB), pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations and the inherent responsibility of the Haida Nation to protect the lands and waters of Haida Gwaii, the following area in Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, National Marine Conservation Area Reserve, and Haida Heritage Site is closed to all public access:

WHERE: Ḵ’iid Xyangs Ḵ’iidaay / Dolomite/Burnaby Narrows. Refer to the map on this notice.

WHY: Bears are feeding on whale carcass in the area.

WHEN:
Start Date: August 28 2025
End Date: Until further notice.

PENALTY: Contravention of this order may result in a fine or court appearance under the Canada National Parks Act or pursuant Regulations.
