Activities prohibited : 

Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following trail is hereby temporarily closed to all public use and travel by order of the Superintendent, Jasper National Park.

Where:

Trail 8c between the junction of trail 8c and trail 8e (Cabin Lake Fire Road) and the junction of trail 8c and trail 8.

Why:

Over the winter of 2018-2019, Jasper National Park removed trees from mountain pine beetle affected forest on Pyramid Bench to help protect the town of Jasper in the event of a wildfire.

Many trails have been affected by this work and are in the process of being restored.

To ensure your safety, access is prohibited to Trail 8c until rehabilitation is complete. Crews and equipment are operating in the area creating safety hazards.

Note:

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act.
