AREA CLOSURE - Lake Louise Area Trails

WHAT: Pursuant to section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following area is prohibited to any entry, public use, traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent.
WHERE: Areas and trails identified on the attached map, including:
1. Bow River Trail between the southeast corner of Lake Louise Tent Campground and the south Bow River pedestrian bridge.
2. Louise Creek Trail between the Bow River Trail junction and the Tramline Trail junction.
3. Areas between the community of Lake Louise and Lake Louise Lakeshore. This includes a lower portion of the Tramline Trail and the Great Divide Trail parking lot.
WHY: To ensure that wildlife are not displaced from an essential travel corridor.
PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty
$25 000.
