The artwork Turbulence Rolling by Bill Vazan

In the heart of the Saint-Ours Canal National Historic Site, on Darvard Island, discover Turbulence Rolling, a work by Canadian sculptor Bill Vazan.

Made of pink granite and sculpted with sandblasting, this impressive sculpture evokes the movement of water eddies, directly echoing the dynamics of the canal and its natural environment.

Installed on a mound of stones between the lock and the superintendent's house, the work invites a contemplative pause and a sensitive connection with the landscape.

Created in 2001, it is part of a local artistic trail that brings together several works in Saint-Ours (in French only), helping to enrich the visitor experience and enhance the dialogue between art, history and territory.
