The Parks Canada team invites you to sleep within the walls of Fort Numéro-Un in Lévis. Parks Canada’s Guides will provide you with a memorable experience as you participate in a variety of outdoor learning activities and workshops.

Did you know that we offer other Learn-to camp activities in Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site (June 25-26, 2022) and Cartier-Brébeuf National Historic Site (July 9-10, 2022).

Learn-to Camp is an opportunity for new Canadians and the young families to learn how to successfully plan overnight camping trips while connecting to Parks Canada’s treasures for years to come. Presented in partnership with Mountain Equipment Company, Learn-to-Camp workshops focus on camping related skills such as wilderness awareness, tenting, and outdoor cooking. Participants will enjoy engaging interpretive programs and other amazing Parks Canada activities.

What’s included

  • Tent and sleeping pads
  • Dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday
  • All scheduled workshops and activities
  • Entrance and camping fees

What to bring

  • Sleeping Bags (sleeping bags are NOT provided. Please ensure you have one for each member of your group).
    Pillow
  • Flash light
  • Suitable, comfortable clothing for the outdoors : comfortable shoes, a variety of clothes depending on the weather (remember that it can be cool at night so bring a variety of clothing so that you will be able to layer for warmth)
  • Pyjamas
  • Toys and books for the kids
  • Bug spray
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottles
  • One cup, one bowl, one plate, one fork, spoon, knife PER PERSON
  • A hat to protect you from the sun
  • Personal toiletries
  • Any personal medication
  • Camera
  • Items for young children (bottles, diapers, etc.)
  • Your health card
