Brass Point Bridge demolition work scheduled for the evening of July 6 or 7, 2026

July 2, 2026 – SEELEY'S BAY, ON – As part of the Brass Point Bridge replacement project, Parks Canada advises residents and visitors that the contractor will be carrying out demolition work on the existing Brass Point swing bridge during the evening of Monday, July 6 or Tuesday, July 7, 2026, depending on weather and site conditions.

The contractor will work extended hours between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to avoid disrupting navigation. The demolition will take place while the swing bridge is in the closed position. This evening work is necessary to maintain the project schedule and complete this phase of construction safely and efficiently. Nearby residents may notice increased construction activity and noise during these hours.

Parks Canada appreciates the patience and understanding of residents, businesses and visitors as this important infrastructure project moves forward. Every effort will be made to minimize disruption while ensuring the safe and timely completion of the work.
