Brigade Days

Reenactors in 19th-century fur trade costumes talking in front of pitched tents on a bright, sunny day.
Location(s): Fort Langley National Historic Site
Cost: Free admission

This BC Day long weekend, watch the fort come alive as it transforms into a bustling fur trade outpost!

From August 2 to 4, experience Brigade Days, an immersive journey into 19th-century life. Wander through canvas tent encampments, meet costumed reenactors, and experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the fur trade era.

Enjoy live music, Indigenous storytelling, blacksmithing, musket demonstrations, and much more. It may feel like a film set—but it’s real history, brought to life by our staff and dedicated volunteer reenactors, all expert storytellers.

A cherished tradition for over 30 years, Brigade Days offers family-friendly fun for all ages. And with the Canada Strong Pass, admission is free for all.
