Step into the past with Grave Tales – 2025 Edition, where history and mystery collide. As lantern light flickers, uncover forgotten stories and the secrets of those long laid to rest. From legendary figures to unsung heroes, each guided tour reveals tales that captivate and offer a fresh perspective on history.
Every tour follows its own unique route, taking place either inside the fort or throughout the village of Fort Langley. Read the descriptions carefully before booking—each experience holds its own surprises.

👻Youth Grave Tales: Sundays, October 19 & 26, 2025
At Fort Langley National Historic Site
Time: 4 pm – 5:30 pm
Price: $24.58
Age: 8+ (youth must be accompanied by an adult 18+)
Group Size: 20 max
Stories of the past and mysterious tales will be heard on this walking tour. While designed for youth, the tour does include stories of injury and death. Please ensure that your child or inner child is comfortable.
Adults must also register and pay for their own spot.
🔥 Spirit of the Place: Saturdays, October 18 & 25, 2025 (Accessible Tour ♿)
At Fort Langley National Historic Site
Time: 7 pm – 8:30 pm

Group Size: 20 max
Listen to tales of supernatural encounters experienced by Fort Langley NHS staff and visitors—right where they happened! The storytelling begins beside a crackling fire in the hearth of one of the HBC Fort’s historic buildings. This tour stays within the Fort’s walls, with some stops offering seating and others standing.
Minimal walking is required, but please dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.
⚒️Graves of the Tradesmen: Saturdays, October 18 & 25, 2025
At Fort Langley Village
Time: 8 pm – 10 pm

Group Size: 25 max
Join Blacksmith Danny at the forge in the fort, then set off on a 4 km walk through the surrounding town. Along the way, hear the stories of Hudson’s Bay Company employees who lived and died at the fort during the 19th century.
Please be prepared for standing and walking outdoors the entire tour.
🌑 Descent into Darkness: Saturdays, October 18 & 25, 2025
At Fort Langley Village
Time: 9 pm – 12 am

The most intense of all tours, this three-hour walk explores the lives of Hudson’s Bay Company workers and the villagers of Fort Langley—with stories shared with permission from families and descendants. Expect mature and graphic content, including themes of suicide, murder, and historic medical practices.
Not for the faint of heart.
- Meet your guide at the Visitor Centre, Fort Langley National Historic Site (free parking available in the main lot).
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in.
- Dress for the weather: wear sturdy footwear and bring an umbrella.
- No pets permitted; service animals only.
- Tours may be cancelled in the event of severe weather or power outages. If so, you will receive a full refund.
- Advance registration and full payment are required — no walk-ins accepted.
