Gather the people you love and spend Family Day together at Fort Langley National Historic Site. Food has long brought families and communities together, and this special event invites visitors to explore the stories, cultures, and traditions shared through meals.

Enjoy live demonstrations, hands-on activities, and storytelling centred on food and family. Young explorers can join a kid-friendly scavenger hunt, with a prize for a mission well accomplished. Warm up with cranberry Bannock cooked over an open fire, discover what historic mealtimes were like, and take part in guided plant walks highlighting Indigenous food and medicinal plants.

Meet local community partners, including Derby Reach Brae Island Parks Association and Metro Vancouver Parks, who will be sharing their knowledge, programs, and stories throughout the day.

Come hungry for knowledge, stories, and a meaningful Family Day experience. Don’t miss this day of family-friendly activities and discoveries at Fort Langley National Historic Site.
